3D Galleries of Hawaii Completed!

I have now added Hawaii in 3D- 256 new 3D images, covering the four main islands- Kauai, Oahu, Maui and Hawaii (the Big Island). I've also included 158 2D scenic shots. Below are some samples from each of the big four islands.

New Florida 3D Gallery in Place

New 3D pictures of Florida have been added- 31 to be precise. Thes cover from Miami up to Boca Raton- some natural, some buildings, and some fantastic glass art in the Fairchild Botanical Gardens.

Aerial 3D's of the Sahara & More are now online

Aerial 3D Photographs of the Sahara Desert and more are now online. Aerial 3D's are in place for Sudan, Central African Republic, Chad, Libya and Tunish. Sudan, Chad and Libya are the best ones, and many of them look like Mars or Venus.

Also, Tunisia offers some coastal views and Central African Republic has some great clouds shots over the scrubland.

This largely completes the Africa3d.net sub-website. There will be some tweaks and additions here and there, but by a very large part, the galleries are finished!

3D Gallery of Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe has been added. This is the other half of the falls that you can't see without crossing the border. Also, some shots of the beautiful Victoria Falls Hotel as well.

3D Gallery of the Victoria Falls area has been added. These include the Zambian side of the falls, a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River, and a few other 3D's of the area. A total of 44 new 3D's have been added.

3D Gallery of the Area Outside Lusaka, Zambia has been added. These are from Pioneer Camp and the nearby countryside where we hiked. We spent our last night in Africa here, basically a great place to chill out.

3D Gallery of Luangwa Region in Zambia now completed

The 3D Gallery of Luangwa River Area in eastern Zambia has been finished. This includes Wildlife Camp, the place we stayed while visiting, as well as an educational center, and an archaeological dig site operated by my brother-in-law.

3D Gallery of South Luangwa National Park in Zambia is completed

The 3D Gallery in South Luangwa National Park in Zambia is finished. These are a combination of shots from our daytime safari, nighttime safari, and our walking safari. This was a lot different from the Tanzania part of our trip, in that we spent time after dark and time walking within the park.

Animals of Zambia in 3D is now complete. These are largely animals in South Luangwa National Park or nearby, but several are from the Victoria Falls area.

I've completed all the major photos in Tanzania, including an extensive animal collection (in 2D, as they are hard to get in 3D most of the time), and many, many birds. Many scenic 3D's, some animal 3D's, and dozens of species of animals abound in the galleries.

Northern Tanzania 3D Gallery is now complete

3D Gallery of Northern Tanzania is now complete. These are all the other shots from the region that aren't in the Serengeti or Ngorongoro Crater. These shots include some of Kilimanjaro and other scenery.

Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area 3D Gallery Completed

Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area 3D Gallery now completed! This gorgeous crater, teeming with wildlife is now in 3D. Some shots were taken from an aircraft as we flew over the area. Also included here are views of the nearby Olduvai Gorge, an important pre-human archaeological site.

Serengeti in 3D Gallery is now complete

The Serengeti in 3D gallery is now complete. There are 30 scenic 3D's from Tanzania's Serengeti National Park taken just a few weeks ago.

3D of Planet Earth taken from NASA's Mercury Messenger spacecraft in 2005. The 3D image came from two frames from a flyby sequence. This view is quite beautiful.

Historic Eureka Springs, Arkansas in 3D. The town grew up in the 1800's amidst a mineral spring-hot bath health craze. Unlike Hot Springs, Eureka Springs maintains nearly all of it's original charm. Also included are some 3D's of Thorncrown Chapel- an amazing architectural masterpiece.

Main Sydney gallery is now complete. This gallery is an integration of shots from the Sydney shots in the old New South Wales gallery from 1999 and our vacation there in 2005. Also, I've added another time-lapse video segment of the milling crowds at Circular Quay, in front of the boat docks.

3D Gallery of a cruise in Sydney Harbour. All 3D's were taken from a boat along some of the 240 km. coastline that defines Sydney Harbour. In addition, there are two time-lapse video segments- one of a bridge opening up to allow passage of our boat, and the other of our spectacular approach to Circular Quay, which shows a 180 degree pan of the Sydney Opera House.

New South Wales, Australia 3D gallery massively updated

Added many new Blue Mountains 3D photos in New South Wales, Australia, and moved Sydney into separate galleries (which are coming soon). Also included is a time lapse video of a gondola ride up the canyon walls.

South Island (including Queestown), New Zealand 3D gallery added.

Thirty two more 3D photos of the South Island of New Zealand have been added. These include many 3D photos of the Queenstown area and passage through the mountains. In addition, there are 7 panoramas, some very, very wide, that show the stunning landscape of the southern island, the mountains called the Southern Alps.

Thirty two 3D photos of the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand. These 3D's are up and down the west coast on the Tasman see. Many are of Franz Josef Glacier, and many more are from Pancake Rocks in Paparoa National Park. Stunning scenery and geological formations.
