That device and others like it only work with specific SONY cameras that are out of production.

I have 2 Rebels XTis and use a wireless remote trigger. It does not do full sync but is a good solution. There is a thread in the cameras area about it.

Thanks Neil, for the input. Checked out the web site as you mention, very impressive. I have a very special wife Anna. She encouraged me to get the SLR Shepherd and another Canon. Was going with sony V1 or V3 but you all know the only ones available is used. All appear to work ok but want to make sure when connecting up a Vivitar 283 "that smoke doesn't leak out." Got good photos without the 283. Waiting for an adapter for the 283 with cable.
My concern is that each "Y" cable has a male (not hot) do you leave them connected to the hot shoe of each camera. There is a female connection on the Shepherd and labeled "Flash." So will find outwhen the adapter comes.  The User Manual could be shows 2 cable per camera. Thank you for reading this book.  Smiley

Thank you Jeff, you are correct. Will post photos later. And photos from the 1950 Kodak 3D. As my dad always said, "Being retired, wonder how he ever had time for work." Oh, there is that 4 letter word again.

I'll have to make sure to add "work" to the forbidden word list.   Roll Eyes

Jeff,

You are awesome, man you know alot. I missed that SLR Shepherd. Now I am very curious about it.

3D ARM - I am looking forward to hearing your experiences with this as I may need to get one also if it has perfect sync everytime. The triggers I have do not always fire together.

Keep us all informed...

Thanks

Actually all you need is a straight thru cable mini-on both ends. You can trigger the cameras using either camera. I shoot twin canon xt's and xti's as seen on pictureky.com

Thank you Neil for the complement Smiley
I think I clicked the wrong button. So I will repeat my reply. Will keep all informed on the SLR Shepherd learning curve. Received an e mail from Rob Crocket, and I have the cabels connected correctly per the user manual diagram. The sync as my memory recalls is 0.01 and 0.1 mil seconds between camera "A" & "B" Going to keep records and will post them.  Cheesy

I got me one of those and a second canon400d some months ago. I havent got to play around with it before yesterday. Itīs pretty cool, but different form the Lanc- Sheperd. Have to take some time to investigate further.

I had to do a lot of photoshopping as I shoot in raw. I gotta match the shopping on the two images before I go into SPM cause it donīt read RAW files (bummer). Makes it a bit harder for me, but hey, The quality is better.

Keep in mind that this is my first attempt on this technique, so feel free to tell me what you think, and give me some tips.
