This view is towards the southeast, opposite of downtown from the Calgary Tower, showing the city's municipal complex, or City Hall. The old city hall is the smaller building that looks like an old courthouse in the lower left. The city far outgrew such a humble start, and more modern complex that surrounds it was built. It is quite striking, both aerially and from the ground.
