Zugspitze, Germany
The Zugspitze is the highest point in Germany (barely).  It sits on the Austrian border, and they even have a border crossing guard at the summit.  I was actually standing on the Austrian side when I took this picture, but I ascended and descended on the German side.  You are looking out over Garmish-Partenkirchen, site of the 1936 Olympics.  The Zupspitze is 2967m tall.
