Embu, Brazil
The little artists enclave of Embu lies about half an hour west of São Paulo. It is a colorful little town that sells many arts and crafts from all over Brazil. It's not exactly cheap, but there is such an interesting array of goods that you can buy, that it is worth the trip. The food is quite good, too, as it is all over Brazil.
