Ahu Tongariki, Easter Island
These moai come in all sorts of shapes and sizes.  More topknots are around, but for some reason, they've only chosen to restore one.  This is the single largest organized concentration of moai.  Of course the quarry has dozens upon dozens plainly visible, but they are haphazardly deployed.  I shoot a lot of photos in low evening and late afternoon light, and the shadow is me.

Up Close and Personal

Look closely at some of the moai in the above strip.  In the large versions of the photos, you can see some very good detail, especially the hands that are carved in at the base of the stomach.  The fingers are so long because many of the people the moai represent had long fingernails.
