I'm
not sure of the name of this shrine, if there is one, but this is the name
of the beach/shore. What is interesting is that although it is a
shrine to the Virgin Mary, the cross on top has been placed inside a carving
of two birds that face each other (see image at right). This
bird figure is a common petroglyph at Orongo, where the Birdman ceremonies
