Casa Grande National Monument, Arizona
A centerpiece of local Hohokam Indians, Casa Grande once stood four stories tall and was made of about 3000 tons of a form of reinforced concrete.  It was built by about 1350 and lasted around a century before falling into disuse.  It's walls face the four compass points, and a small hole in this wall lines up with the setting sun on the summer solstice.  These Indians seemed more advanced than those around them and those that came after them.  Having some astronomical knowledge and a love for ballcourts, they seem to have more in common with the Aztecs and Mayans far to the south than those around them.
