I actually spent the night in this Travelodge.
It was a bit dated, and this miniature St. Louis Arch places it from the 1960's
(1950's style, though). This was very typical of US Route 66 style Americana. This
survived because the Interstate coincided closely with US Route 40 here.
It's still in trouble because it needs massive updating to live up to today's
standard. But, it was cheap, and as they say, when the lights are out,
it's just like those big fancy hotels.
