Yellowstone NP, Mammoth Hot Springs (Orange Spring Mound)
Here's a close-up of one of the two active areas of Orange Spring Mound.  Most of the discoloration is algae and bacteria, but you can also see darker vertical stripes, which result from the embedded tree trunks, and stream downwards from where the trunks emerge from the deposits.
