Yellowstone NP, Norris Geyser Basin (Porcelain Basin)
Porcelain Basin is a huge bowl on one side of Norris Geyser Basin.  It is a very large area devoid of vegetation, for the most part.  There are steaming springs, whirligig geysers, hot streams and mineral deposits inhospitable to most "normal" life.  However, they are alive with algae and bacteria and are many shapes and colors.  This one has greenish fringes and is heart-shaped.
