Royal Botanical Gardens, Sydney, Australia direction of view
Sydney's a gorgeous city, and a great place to see it is from the Sky Tower- one of those must-have observation towers that so many cities around the world have these days.  This particular view is looking out over the Royal Botanical Gardens (green park in middle of picture), and out over Sydney Harbour, looking towards the Pacific Ocean in the distance.  Also, from this view, you can see South Head, on the right side of the narrow inlet from the Pacific, Middle Head, jutting in from the left in the middle of the harbor, and North Head on the left side of the inlet from the Pacific.  (See the Sydney Harbour Cruise gallery for close up shots of those landmarks from a boat cruise we took in the harbor.)

In this Sky Tower series, there is a red arrow to the right of the caption title that indicates the direction, with up being North.
