Lake Tarawera, New Zealand
Lake Tarawera is a 20-30 minute drive east of Rotorua. It's a very pleasant drive- winding through forests of prehistoric-looking fern palms, along the base of small mountains and along the shores of several lakes. It was late fall, and some trees still retained their fall color. Lake Tarawere is visible through the trees on the left.
