South of Rotorua, New Zealand

We weren't too far south of Rotorua when I took this photo. The countryside of New Zealand is simply stunning just about everywhere you go. Here you can see the lone sheep on the hill, though I guarantee you, he's one of millions. You can see striations in the hillside from where decades of grazing sheep have reinforced pathways into the hillside at close intervals. It's a similar process to that which causes moguls on a ski slope.
