Akaroa, New Zealand
Akaroa is a sleepy and very pleasant seaside community sitting on the edge of an ancient volcanic crater that is now submerged enough that the sea enters from the south, forming a quiet harbor on the Banks Peninsula. Akaroa is nice, but the drive there is spectacular. Spend the day.
