Antarctic Museum, Christchurch, New Zealand
We took a ride in this actual modern Antarctic transport. A very
rough
ride. They take you around an obstacle course that shows you at what absurd angles of terrain this thing can traverse (steep and also inclined sideways), over large gaps meant to simulate large crevasses, and through 10' deep water- this heavy machine will float and navigate through water just fine, thank you. It was fun, but we were all slightly shaken up afterwards.
