Road to Akaroa, New Zealand
The 60-90 minute drive from Christchurch to Akaroa, on the coast, is worth every minute of it. It took us much longer, because we kept having to stop and take pictures. As you leave Christchurch, the scenery gets more and more interesting, and you start climbing. As you come over the pass, you have this stunning view. The bay below is an inlet from the sea, and Akaroa sits on the far side of it. This shot was actually taken on our way back from Akaroa slightly below the pass, and was taken at sunset.
