Cape Egmont Lighthouse, New Zealand
As folks who have visited other areas of my site know, I enjoy photographing lighthouses.  This one occupies the westernmost tip of Cape Egmont.  The coastline here is very rugged, it was very windy, to the point of it being difficult to even stand up at times, and hence the necessity of warning ships of impending doom.  New Zealand's shipping ports are all on the more docile eastern coast, on both islands.
