New Plymouth, New Zealand
New Plymouth is the main city on the west coast of the North Island. It is very near Mt. Taranaki and sits on a relatively docile stretch of coast on an otherwise rugged coastline. This is the Waterfront Hotel, where we stayed. It's ultra modern and quite a pleasant stay, and is right on the beach, as the name implies.
