This view is from down in a bit. Near Katoomba you can take a scenic railway partway down into the Jamison Valley. It is here as well that you can take the cable car ride and see some terrific views of the canyon and some waterfalls while dangling high up in midair.

To the right is a video clip that is a time lapse view (12x speed up) of the gondola ride you can take into the valley. The above picture was taken in 1999, and I had gone down by funicular. The gondola was added since then, and we took it back up. If you have trouble viewing it, you can download it here.
