Blue Mountains NP, New South Wales, Australia
The Blue Mountains, just west of Sydney, are a beautiful national park that were once a very major barrier to westward expansion.  For many years the mountains were impassable.  They are called the Blue Mountains because of the oils that hang in the air from the eucalyptus trees that carpet the mountains and valley.  Nowadays, not only can you drive and fly over the mountains, you can take cable cars across and trams down into them.

This area is in the Wentworth Fallas area, one of many beautiful stops you can make in the National Park.
