Pan across and see the view we had for better part of an hour whilst we drove north a significant part of the length of Lake Hawea. We were going through it about midday as we were getting ready to plunge into the heart of the Southern Alps (well, I guess we were already in the middle of them) to get to the West Coast- another gallery in this series.
