Lake Pukaki, New Zealand
Skipping ahead about 4 days or so, we are now with our friends- Allen and Janice- who were already staying in Christchurch (they are from California). The vistas from Christchurch to Queenstown were non-stop- you will see all the panoramas at the end of this gallery. This lake ahead is Lake Pukaki, and those are the Southern Alps on the other side. This drive was jaw-dropping. Every turn revealed a new or enhanced vista- as we got closer, the views changed or just got better.
