Pancake Rocks, Paparoa NP, New Zealand
Now you're really starting to see the detail in these rock formations. This area is a blowhole- when the tide comes in at a certain angle and force, water is forced through a hidden opening and hits a wall in the inside of this formation. Having nowhere to go, it blows upwards spraying these rocks with water. We saw several mild sprays here, but I was not able to catch it on photo or video.
