We are at the very tip of the lake, where the glacial stream feeds it. If you keep walking, you'll eventually find the source. It was getting quite late, so I did not continue beyond this point. But, there are more good views to see, as in the mountains, you should always go both directions, since you miss so much of what is behind you.
