Moraine Lake, Banff National Park, Alberta
Moraine Lake is the idyllic lake to visit.  Not as crowded as Lake Louise, many tourists miss this one, though not as many as one might hope if you want some true solitude.  There is no lodging here, but you can park and take a little hike to the top of a rock pile that dams the lake up at one end.  The view from here (in a later picture) is very famous.  This photo has not been tampered with- the water is really this color.  A little dollop of sunlight causes an explosion of aqua from the surface.
