Western Brook Pond, Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland
This photo was taken on a boat ride down the long Western Brook Pond- a completely inland freshwater fjord.  You park your car on the coast and walk about 3 kilometers inland over a trail that alternates between boardwalk in a peat bog and a forest rife with wildlife.  You then take a boat ride for a couple of hours where you will see countless waterfalls cascading down from the steep cliffs, thousands of birds, and basically a lot of beauty.  If you time it right, you can enjoy the sunset on the return trip.
