Banff National Park, Alberta 
I would have to say that Western Canada is my favorite part of that northern nation, and specifically, the Alberta/British Columbia part of that.  The border is home to no fewer than 5 national parks, plus other nearby national parks, Glacier in the US, and several provincial parks as well.  My visit to Banff was around the third week of September, just in time for the blaze of fall colors.
