Brugge, the capital of Flanders, saw it's peak pass some 500 years ago when it was cut off from the sea by silt from the River Zwin. Antwerp became the shipping center. But, with the port of Zeebrugge nearby, Brugge has reawakened, and it is very well preserved and lively. The streets are cobblestone and several canals flow through town, and the town is encircled by a canal as well (and windmills).
The lights in this picture just jump out at you, and the lens flares from the light at the right plunge back into the picture- fully in 3D. It's hard to see in this photo (try clicking on the image to enlarge it), but the lens flare that progresses into the background ends at Jupiter, in the sky. The depth in this picture is amazing- the fence, the mailbox, the street lights- they are all very vivid.
