Cathedral in Metz, France
Metz, France is in a very industrial area of France- one that is not particularly attractive to drive through.  I stopped in this fairly large city and discovered a really nice downtown with a very nice pedestrian zone of shops and restaurants.  It also has this very old, gothic cathedral (though somewhat dirty on the outside) that is very nice, complete with flying buttresses.
