Paris from the Arc de Triomphe
From the top of the Arc, looking westward, you see what I call the modern, "downtown" Paris.  The buildings in the distance are more like a western-style city- modern and tall.  In the middle, is a squared off arch, which I didn't notice until I got my photos developed, lines up with this arch, an obelisk, and another triumphal arch at the Louvre.
