Garden in the Palace of Versailles 
If you have more than a couple of days in Paris,
take the RER train (the superset of the Metro system that goes to the outlying
areas) to Versailles. Not only is it a beautiful palace, or château,
but the huge grounds it sits on are full of gardens, lakes, statues, etc...
Given the choice between this or Jim Morrison's grave- I'd come here.
