Königsee, Berchtesgaden Alpine National Park, Germany 
Berchtesgarden lies in the southeast corner of Bavaria, surrounded largely by Austria.  Königsee (King's Lake) is surrounded by the precipitous Alps.  This is just a fantastically beautiful area.  The photo was taken in early May when the leaves on the deciduous trees were freshly green.
