Schloß Neuschwanstein (New Swan Stone Castle) is the fairy tale castle that King Ludwig built that later inspired Walt Disney.  The castle was never finished as he nearly bankrupted Bavaria, and was killed for it (drowned by his doctor, who then also mysteriously drowned).  Only twelve rooms were completed.  Little did they know that it would be their biggest tourist attraction a century later.
