Blarney Castle, Ireland
Built in 1446, Blarney Castle is probably the most famous landmark in Ireland.  Kissing the Blarney Stone is the number one attraction here.  For whatever reason, the stone is on an underhang near the top, requiring the would-be kisser to lay on their back, and arch over the side of the castle in the inverted position to get to it.  Of course there are assistants to help you, and a grating assures you won't go far if you did slip.  Not to mention that once there, you kiss a stone that countless other people have kissed, including the snotty-nosed kid that was in the line in front of you.  I've heard rumors that the locals urinate on it as well when drunk, though given some level of security, I'm not sure I believe that.
