This was the ultimate destination of our driving trip- the Castle of the Mazovian Princes in Ciechanów. It was built around 1420 before Mazovia (this region) was incorporated into the Kingdom of Poland. In later days, Queen Bona, queen of Poland, often stayed in this castle, which is located near the
Łydynia River.
