Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary, Warsaw, Poland
Kościół Nawiedzenia NMP
, the Polish name for the Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary, is a gorgeous old-style church in what's known as New Town, which was built in the 15th century (Old town was built in the 13th century). It was built in the 15th century b the Mazovian princess Anna. When it was rebuilt after World War II, it was restored to its 15th century look (having been modified since then), and the vaulting above the chancel was complete using medieval methods- by hand. The church sits on a terrace, and has great views of the Vistula River Valley.
