Barcelona, Spain
Barcelona is my favorite city in the world.  I only spent a day and a half there, but in that short time I was won.  This triumphal arch, el Arco de Triunfo, was built in 1888 as the entrance to the World Fair.  It was designed and built by Josep Vilaseca at the end of Passeig de Sant Joan, and the decorative band around the top was designed by Josep Limona, a celebrated local artist whose work was chosen as a gift from Barcelona to Boston in 1986.  (Thanks to Brian Napier for providing me info on this arch.)
