Stockholm, Sweden
Sweden was the first European country I visited- back in 1989. Now that I work for Nokia and travel to Finland a lot, it has become a somewhat regular stopping off point. Stockholm sits on 14 islands interconnected by bridges. This church, the Iron Church, sits in the oldest part of the city on the island of Gamla Stan. Gamla Stan is about 700 years old and is composed of old buildings, curved cobblestone, and catacombs beneath those streets full of restaurants and nightlife. It really is one of the finest cities in Europe- I would rank it up there with Paris and Barcelona, minus the crime.
