Going North to Vicuña, Chile
One thing about Chile- vineyards are everywhere.  The grid in front of you are vineyards growing grapes for Chile's famous wines and other grape-derived drinks such as Pisco.  The dirt road I was driving on was heading straight for those mountains.  I knew that I was going to have to cross them somewhere to get to Vicuña- I was just hoping it wasn't where the snow was.
