Arenal Lake, Costa Rica
Of course, curiosity is a feature they all have, and sensing that one of their mates might be able to get food, they all clamor for a potential nugget.  It's not really a good idea to feed them, and we really had no intention of doing so, but simply wanted some pictures.  They were already harassing another car when we drove up.  The ensuing scuffles and body climbing basically required us to throw food to get them away from us.  Had we not done so, I'm afraid there would have been two skeletons dragged off in the woods, an abandoned rental car, and a headline on a back page of some newspaper reading Tourists Missing, Feared Victims of Marauding Coati Gangs.
