Poas Volcano, Costa Rica
These giant plants were growing all around Poas. This baby leaf is already bigger than your head. It is called
Gunnera manicata
, and sometimes called Giant Rhubarb, though it is not related. Its leaves can grow up to 8 feet across (2.7m) and is the largest herbaceous plant on Earth.
