Metropolitan Cathedral, Monterrey, Mexico
Monterrey is supposed to be a great town, and I think it is, just that I happened to come on one of the worst days of the year.  January in North America is perhaps not the best time to travel, and Monterrey is surrounded by mountains.  It is not that cold, and those mountains are very scenic.  But the two days I was there, they held in some very wet weather.  There is a feature in the mountains- a dramatic saddle-shaped "M" that I was only able to see from the jet as I was flying out.

This church is the main cathedral in town, which as built between 1635 and 1770.  The bell tower on this baroque cathedral was not finished until 1899.
