Temple Sculpture, Teotihuacan, Mexico
This picture was taken at the ruins of Teotihuacan,
about 1 hour north of Mexico City. The effect in this picture
is what I call a Hyper-3D effect. I used a 17mm rectilinear lens
at very close range (about 1 foot). With the distortion that this lens
causes at the edges, I was limited to moving only a few inches between
the left and right pictures. When projected onto a screen, it has the effect
of coming out of the screen and into the room. It is also very sensitive
to any motion of your head- it's eyes seem to follow you.
