Teotihuacan, Mexico
Teotihuacan is just an hour bus ride from the heart
of Mexico City. It is a phenomenal ruin, with a backdrop of the mountains
that ring Mexico City. This is the Pyramid of the Sun, which is 20 stories
tall. You can climb to the top for spectacular views. For some
reason, I found this one easier to climb than the pyramid at Chichén Itzá,
even though this one sits at 7000 feet in altitude. I think it was the
fact that the steps were smaller in size, and that you have many levels where
you can stop and catch your breath.
