Macro and Misc Guide

The Macro Gallery is organized like the rest of the main galleries.  It is a collection of miscellaneous photos, mostly of things around the house, that don't fit in the travel galleries.  It does have some additional information for macro and close-up shots.
 
 

Macro Method Key

Camera	A normal camera was used with a either a close-up lens, or a fish-eye lens turned backwards.
Scanner	Items were placed on the flatbed scanner and scanned in two positions, rendering the stereo views.
Microscope	Items were of very small size, and were imaged using the Mattel/Intel QX3 digital microscope.  The power used to makes these images is indicated.

 

Taking the Pictures

See this section for details on how these images were obtained.  There are extensive drawings here for each method.  With the proper equipment, and a little patience, you could be taking these images too.
