Aerial Greenland
Clouds soon obscured my view of Greenland, so I settled back to the flight and other things to pass the time.  Periodically I checked out the window, mostly blocked by a sleeping passenger next to me.  It seemed I was to have no more luck, as I could only see what appeared to be clouds through the hair of said sleeping passenger.  Finally, I decided to take one more good look and got up and looked out the window at the exit door, to see only this vista below.  It seems that the brilliant white snow blended well enough with the clouds that without a clear view, I hadn't realized it had cleared up.  How lucky I was to be able to get the next five shots from video.

As it turns out, this side was much clearer than the east coast had been.  These mountains are right on the water, instead of being inland, so there was more color to give contrast to the images.  You can see these mountains bulge right up at you, in the foreground, dropping off behind to an inlet from the see, and more mountains starting to rise behind it.
