St. Vitus Cathedral
Nestled inside Prague Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral dominates its surroundings.  Started a thousand years ago, the front façade actually dates from the 19th century.  The church was finished in 1929.  St. Vitus Cathedral dominates Prague, but it is not in the center, instead sitting somewhat west of the downtown area.
