Le  Puy
This was a pleasant surprise.  I was on my way to Barcelona and trying to avoid Gran Prix and Cannes Film Festival traffic when I took a back road that took me through Le Puy.  Aiguilhe St. Michel sits on top of an 85m (280 ft) rock outcropping, which is the remnant of a former volcano.  It was built in the 10th-11th century.
