Sacre Couer
The Basilica of the Sacred Heart, or Wedding Cake Church, as it is nicknamed, sits high on a hill near Montmartre.  Visible from all over the city, this Byzantine-Romanesque-like cathedral was not consecrated until 1919.  It was inspired in the mid-19th century by the defeat of France by the Prussians.
